PORTALES, N.M. –
Jamaal Brantley's career afternoon carried the Aggies to a 90-79 road win over Eastern New Mexico on Thursday afternoon. Cameron recovered from a 12 point halftime deficit and shot 54.6% from the field in the final 20 minutes to roll past the Greyhounds.
Brantley scored 27 points and had six rebounds to lead the Aggies; his afternoon bested his previous high by two which was set on New Year's Eve at West Texas A&M.    The CU senior had to battle foul trouble throughout the contest after picking up four early in the second half.  Â
Cameron Lee came up with 16 points,
JV Long added 12, and
Deondre Ray added 11 for the Aggies who shot from 30-for-66 from the field.Â
Box Score (PDF)Most of Cameron's points came from inside with CU struggling at the arc by going 3-for-13; 46 points came from inside the paint, which was 20 more than ENMU.  Cameron turned the ball over only eight times which is the team's third lowest total for the season. The same could not be said for ENMU who coughed up the ball 19 times and the Aggies scored 26 of their points from Greyhound miscues.
Cameron won the rebounding battle by four with 39, redshirt-freshman
Tyus Momoh led the Aggies with a career high seven boards.

The Aggies maintained control of the lead in the first half until the final four minutes where they had several players hitting foul trouble. All of CU's starting five had a pair of fouls with one other with three. ENMU took advantage of the Aggies going deep into their bench early and closed the half with 15 unanswered points to take a 42-33 lead at the intermission.  Brantley would pace CU at the midway mark with 12 points and the team would shoot 12-for-33 (36.4%).
Despite the 17 first half fouls for the Aggies they would climb back into the game and thanks to a four minute scouring drought by the Greyhounds, CU climbed up and took a 58-56 lead off a Brantley layup with 12:58 left to give him 21 points. However, Brantley who had CU's hot hand hit four fouls two minutes later and he would have to go to the bench.  Without Brantley on the floor, ENMU hit back-to-back treys to take a 62-58 lead with 10 minutes to go.Â
The contest remained close with neither team taking more than a two possession advantage until the final five minutes. Cameron closed the game with a 18-3 run and scored the game's final 12 points for their second league win on the road in three attempts. Â
Eastern New Mexico (4-9, 0-1 LSC) was led by Ladarius Stewart who had 20, as a team the Greyhounds shot 26-for-54 (48.1%) with 11 treys.Â
The win for Cameron is their third in a row at Eastern New Mexico and moves their overall record to 9-6 and 2-1 in Lone Star Conference play.
Cameron will return home on Sunday, January 10 at 4 p.m. to host West Texas A&M.
