Around the LSC: Friday, Tarleton State visits Texas A&M-Commerce, while Midwestern State takes on UT Permian Basin. Also on Friday, Western New Mexico hosts Texas A&M-Kingsville, and Angelo State travels to Texas Woman's. On Saturday, MSU journey to Canyon, Texas to take on West Texas A&M, ASU heads to A&M-Commerce, TWU hosts the TexAnns of TSU, and the Javelinas travel to Eastern New Mexico.
 
Looking Forward: The Aggies are still seeking their first LSC win as they are 0-11 in league play and 2-18 overall. Cameron is third in the LSC with 17.32 digs per set, while averaging just over 10 kills and 10 assists per set. Jenna Gillean is fifth in the conference with 3.51 kills per set, and is 11 kills away from reaching her total from last season (281). Shelby Mench is 11th in the league in assists per set (5.35), while Kylee Quillin is in the top-10 in the LSC in aces (0.33 set) and digs (3.61 per set).

West Texas A&M (12-9, 7-4 LSC)
- Lost in straight sets in their last match on Tuesday to Eastern New Mexico for their third loss in their last five games.
- Second in the LSC in blocks with 2.29 per set.
- Senior Elisa Bentsen leads the league with 1.28 blocks per set.
- Their libero, Lauren Britten, is fifth in the LSC with 4.26 digs per set.

-Overall: 47-3 WT
-The Lady Buffs are a perfect 21-0 at home against Cameron all time.
-Last meeting: Sept. 16, 2016 in Lawton, Okla. (3-2 WT win)
 
UT Permian Basin (6-15, 2-9 LSC)
- Have lost nine out of their last 10 games, including back-to-back 3-0 sweeps by Texas A&M-Commerce and Western New Mexico in their last two matches.
- Average 10.21 kills, 9.63 assists, 1.54 blocks, and 1.07 services aces per set.
- Junior Caitlyn Guajardo leads the team and is 11th in the LSC in kills with 2.93 per set
- Mallory Nicholson is sixth in the league with 6.2 assists per set, and Sasha Vasquez is sixth in the conference in digs with 3.8 per set.

-Overall: 5-2 CU
-In their short history of playing each other, the Aggies are 3-0 in Odessa, Texas.
-Last meeting: Sept. 17, 2016 in Lawton, Okla. (3-0 UTPB win)

Looking Back: In their previous match against Texas Woman's the Aggie netters came back from a 2-0 set deficit to tie the match at two sets a piece, before losing in the fifth set 15-9. Jenna Gillean earned her sixth double-double of the season with 21 kills and 11 digs, while Paige Dixon added her second double-double with 11 kills and 25 digs. Shelby Mench led CU with 37 assists, while Haleigh McClain-Ward added 13 helpers.

Looking ahead: Following the trip out west, the Aggies will return for their final three home contests of the season. They take on Western New Mexico on Friday, Oct. 28 and then Eastern New Mexico on Saturday, Oct. 29. CU will conclude the home stretch with a match against Texas A&M-Commerce on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
