CANYON, Texas – The Cameron volleyball team would fall in three sets at West Texas A&M (25-17, 25-12, 25-18) on Friday evening.
While the Aggies matched WT with seven blocks, the Lady Buffs' offense put down 51 kills to CU's 26.
Sabra Washington assisted with four of the Aggies' seven blocks, while
Jenna Gillean,
Hailee Faustner and
Paige Dixon helped with three each.
Gillean led the Aggie offense with 11 kills to tie her career number of kills in a season at 281, which she set as a freshman last year.

Cameron remained behind WT in the first two sets, tying the Lady Buffs just once in the first game at 3-3, losing the opening set 25-17 and falling in set two 25-12 after WT hit a match high .438.
However, the Aggies would take their first lead of the match in the third set at 4-3 with a block by Gillean and Washington. WT took back the advantage with a kill and a block themselves.
The Lady Buffs held a 15-10 edge until Cameron strung together a five point chain, which included two block assists from Washington, to tie the set for a fifth time. But the Lady Buffs sparked a run of their own for six points stifling the Aggie comeback going on to win 25-18.
Cameron drops to 2-19 overall and 0-8 in the Lone Star Conference. West Texas A&M moves to 13-9 and 8-4 in the league.
Up next for the Aggies is a match at UT Permian Basin on Saturday.
