LAWTON– The Cameron volleyball team fell in straight sets to Tarleton State (25-18, 25-17, 25-10) on Friday evening.

Cameron posted 25 kills to the TexAnns 45, and TSU combined for six total team blocks to CU's one along with ten aces.

For the Aggies, Paige Dixon led with eight kills, and Shelby Mench recorded a team high 15 assists and seven digs.

Cameron gained a 6-4 edge to begin the match, but TSU used two kills and an Aggie attack error to take the lead in set one. The Aggies knotted the set twice but the TexAnns held steady, stringing another run for the 15-11 advantage using 17 kills to keep CU at bay for the 25-18 first set win.

In set two, Cameron trailed by three at 9-6 before TSU chained six straight points gathering momentum for the 25-17 edge.

CU posted just four kills in set three as the TexAnns rallied for a match high .550 to take the set 25-10.

Cameron drops to 2-14 overall and 0-8 in the Lone Star Conference while TSU is now 13-2 overall and 6-1 in the league.

The Aggies remain at home for a match with Angelo State on Saturday afternoon.
