LAWTON, Okla.– The Cameron men's basketball team never let off their lead to take their home opener 91-57 over Dallas Christian on Tuesday night.
 
The Aggies had five score in double figures with 
Tyler Williams leading CU with 17 points and four assists.
 
Bryan Mitchell and 
Elish Benjamin each recorded 11 points, while 
Tyus Momoh and 
Delvonte Pierre had 10 points apiece. 
JV Long had three steals in the game.
 
Cameron finished the game shooting 50 percent on the floor and arc, while making 70 percent of their free throws.
 
The Ags won the rebounding battle 49 to 35 with four Aggies each recording seven boards.
 
Cameron opened the game with a three-pointer from Pierre, which DCC responded with a layup for their only score over seven minutes as the Aggies strung together an eight point run to lead 11-2.
 
The Crusaders would continue to experience several scoring droughts throughout the first half including one over five minutes where CU chained 17 points for their largest lead of 35 points.
 
Cameron held a 50-19 lead at the half where the Ags shot 54 percent from the field and went 6-for-10 at both the arc and charity stripe.
 
The Crusaders shot just 8-for-31 on the floor and 3-for-7 at the line while missing all 15 of their three-point tries.
 
While DCC improved shooting from the field to 13-for-32 in the second half with five treys, the closest the Crusaders would get to the Ags was within 22 points at the 13:35 marker before Cameron cruised to a 91-57 victory.
 
Cameron moves to 3-0 to open the season while DCC is 0-8 on the year.
 
The Aggies will next compete in the Patterson Auto Center Classic from Nov. 18-19 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
