Live VideoGame NotesFirst Tip:Â At 8-3 in league play, the Cameron men are in sole possession of first place in the Lone Star Conference. In their last outing, the Aggies held off an Eastern New Mexico squad looking to upend CU's title hopes to win 72-66 in Lawton on Thursday.
Deondre Ray pulled off his third double-double of the season with a game high 19 points and 11 rebounds.
James Cross also had a double-double, his second of the year with 11 points and ten boards.
LSC Championship Dogfight:Â With three games remaining the Aggies have a one game lead in the LSC standings over Angelo State, Midwestern State, and West Texas A&M. There is one possible scenario of events where the Aggies would clinch a share of the regular season title on Wednesday night.
- A Cameron win over Angelo State
- A Midwestern State loss at Texas A&M-Kingsville
- A West Texas A&M loss to Texas A&M-Commerce
If the Aggies were to win on Wednesday and either/both Midwestern State and West Texas A&M were to win, a Cameron win over Texas A&M-Kingsville on homecoming Saturday would clinch a share of the regular season title regardless of anyone else's result.Â
About Angelo State:Â Heading into the contest with the Aggies, the No. 12 Rams are on a three game streak and are in a three way tie for second place in the LSC standings with Midwestern State and West Texas A&M at 7-4 in the league. Jamaal Brantley would be the team's leading scorer with 20 and he added seven rebounds.
