LAWTON– Cameron was unable to secure the perimeter as the Aggies would fall 77-69 to Texas A&M-Kingsville in Saturday evening's homecoming game. The Javelinas would make nine three-pointers in the win to pick up their first league victory on the road this season.

The loss moves Cameron to 15-10 overall and 8-5 in the LSC. If the Aggies win against Midwestern State next Saturday, they can still clinch a share of the Lone Star Conference title.

Jamaal Brantley scored 27 points, tying his career high, and added nine rebounds for the Ags.
Cameron Lee was also in double figures with 13 points.

Cameron shot 21-for-51 from the field, and 23-for-29 at the line with four made three-pointers. Meanwhile, Texas A&M-Kingsville went 28-for-60 on the floor, 12-for-16 at the charity stripe.

TAMUK would open up a ten point lead in the first half, and Cameron would chip it down with an 11-6 run to three as the Aggies trailed 33-30 at the 1:14 marker. The Javelinas would shoot 16-for-36 (44.4%) compared to the Aggies' 11-for-28 (39.3%) on the floor to lead 35-31 at the break.

Cameron shot 9-for-12 from the charity stripe with TAMUK missing their only try at the line in the first half, but Kingsville would make three treys with the Aggies missing all five of their attempts at the arc.

Brantley opened the second half with a three-pointer to put the Aggies within one, but TAMUK would stray until the Aggies went on a nine point run to take a 56-55 lead at the 6:40 marker. The game tied with a free throw from each side, but the Javelinas would create a two possession lead and put the game further out of reach to win 77-69.

DJ Weathers led the Javelinas with 27 points, draining five three-pointers and shooting 6-for-6 at the line.
