LAWTON – Cameron pushed their winning streak up the six games and took the four game series over Eastern New Mexico on Sunday afternoon. The Aggies run-ruled the Greyhounds 8-0 in five innings in game one and won the nightcap 11-8.
With the wins on Sunday, the Aggies overall record will move up to 24-9 overall, and they will go to 9-3 in Lone Star Conference play. The losses for Eastern New Mexico place them at 10-22 overall and 3-12 in league action.
Game one was all Cameron with the Aggies scoring three runs in the opening inning with
Sonora Zukerman hitting a homer to center field. In the third,
Breezy McComas hit her third homer of the series over the center field fence to put the Ags up four.  The Aggies continued to pour on the runs in the fourth with McComas knocking in a RBI single,
Annie Combs walked in a RBI, and
Paige Daino capped off the four run inning with a two RBI double to put them up 8-0.
The game ended with the fifth with the run-rule in effect;
Emily Wasinger (13-2) won her third game of the weekend allowing only one hit, with three strikeouts.
Cameron collected nine hits with Daino, McComas, and Zukerman all having two.
In the nightcap, 15 runs were scored in the first two innings by both teams, with the Aggies coming from behind twice.Â
ENMU struck first in the opening frame with four runs off of five hits before the Aggies batted through the order in the bottom half with five runs to take a 5-4 lead. Cameron picked up two runs off of sac flies, with Zukerman having a RBI single, and
Nikki Horton adding a two RBI single.Â
The Greyhounds retook the lead in the second off of four hits and three runs to move ahead 7-5 over Cameron. In the bottom half of the inning, CU scored a run off of fielder's choice, and two off of ENMU failed catch in the outfield to move back ahead 8-7.  Cameron's lead wouldn't last and in the top of the third ENMU tied the game off an unearned run with two outs.
Cameron took the lead for the last time in the fourth with runners on the corners with two outs. The Aggies works a successful trick running play with Daino getting caught between first and second to allow Zukerman to steal home for the go-ahead run.
The Aggies picked up two insurance runs in the sixth with DeLong hitting a RBI single with two outs to put runners at the corners.  Cameron would try the same double steal attempt with
ENMU getting caught allowing
Paige Ramey to swipe home plate.
Eastern New Mexico out-hit the Aggies 13 to nine with
Abbey Warren and Zukerman both having two hits; Zukerman had four runs scored in the contest.
Alyssa Osterdock (6-4) picked up the win in relief tossing the final five innings.
Cameron will next visit Canyon, Texas to face West Texas A&M on March 25-26 for a four game series.
