DENVER, Colo. –
Paula Gutierrez had two wins but the #20 Aggies saw their seven match winning streak come to an end falling 7-2 to Hawai'i Pacific in Denver on Tuesday.
Gutierrez who is ranked #25 nationally in singles beat #15 Kristyna Hancarova, 3-6, 6-3, 10-4 to move to 8-2 this season in CU's top spot. In doubles,
Mathilde Thibaudat and Gutierrez won as the Aggies lone win, beating the Sharks 8-5. The win for the pair moved them to 7-0 in dual play this spring.
CU's loss reflected the same score that Midwestern State had on Monday when facing the Sharks in Denver.
The Aggies will fall to 8-2 overall and the Sharks improve to 12-3.
Cameron will stay in Colorado and visit CSU-Pueblo on March 23; both teams faced each other last season with CU winning 7-2.
