Biography

2016-17 (Senior): After starting her final season off slow, Gutierrez finished with a 14-10 singles record and a 13-11 doubles mark. Playing in the No. 1 singles spot, she finished the season on a nine match win streak in singles and went a perfect 5-0 in conference play, while going 4-1 in LSC doubles play. Named LSC Player of the Week once. Received a LSC All-Academic selection for the third straight year. Was named the LSC Player of the Year for the third time and also received All-LSC honors in singles and was honorable mention for doubles. 

2015-16 (Junior): Went 22-4 in singles play and 23-8 during her junior campaign. At the Midwestern Invitational (9/18-19), went 4-0 in singles, and 3-0 in doubles with Angie Torres... Went 5-1 at the ITA Regionals and lost in the finals match to MSU's Madeline Schorlemmer (9/27), while also making it to the semifinals of the doubles bracket with partner Angie Torres. Served as CU's No. 1 doubles player, while going 2-0 in LSC matches. Finished the season on a nine match win streak in singles and was a key part of the Aggies' run to the postseason. Received LSC Player of the Week award twice. Climbed as high as 18th in the ITA singles rankings. Named the LSC Player of the Year for the second straight year, All-LSC selection in singles and honorable mention in doubles. LSC All-Academic Player of the Year and All-Acadmic team for second straight year. ITA South Central Region Player to Watch. ITA All-American. 

2014-15 (Sophomore): Went 19-8 in singles and 14-15 in doubles during her sophomore season. Won in doubles with Angie Torres 8-6 against UTPB at the MSU Invitational (9/19-20)... Went 3-1 and advanced to quarter finals of the ITA Regional Championships. Also went 2-1 in doubles with Angie Torres, advancing to the quarter finals. Had a nine match win streak in singles during the heart of CU's schedule and went a perfect 3-0 in LSC play. Finished the season with an 8-1 singles record in Cameron's final 10 matches. Named LSC Player of the Year, All-LSC for singles and honorable mention in doubles, and was an LSC All-Academic selection. 

2013-14 (Freshman): Broke onto the season as a freshman, going 18-6 in singles play and 12-12 in doubles play in her first year. Earned her first official wins for the Black and Gold against Cowley College on Feb. 13 with a 6-0,6-0 win in the No. 3 singles spot and an 8-3 win with Florencia Tornero in the two doubles slot. Went 3-0 in Lone Star Conference play and was named LSC Player of the Week twice. Won seven of her last nine matches of the season and helped CU reach the NCAA South Central Regional. All-LSC in both singles and doubles and named the LSC Freshman of the Year.
