LAWTON – The Aggies capped off their home season with a double header sweep of Midwestern State on Saturday. Cameron won game one 1-0 in an extra inning and took game two 9-0 in five innings

The Aggies won 3 of 4 in their series with the Mustangs, advancing to 32-17 overall and 17-11 in the Lone Star Conference. Meanwhile, MSU drops to 26-26 and 11-17 in the league.

For game one, the Mustangs threatened to score in the top of the second, but the Aggies fended off a bases loaded no outs opportunity for MSU with two fielder's choice plays to home plate and ended the inning on a pop up.

In the bottom of the second, Cameron had a bases loaded opportunity as well after the first two batters reached on Mustang fielding errors, but the Aggies could not capitalize leaving the inning with three left on.

The game remained scoreless and entered into an extra inning with the Aggies taking the 1-0 win in the bottom of the eighth following a pair of doubles. With one out,
Sonora Zukerman doubled to left field, and
Paige Daino replicated the play to bring in Zukerman for the win.

Emily Wasinger (16-7) picked up the win in the circle following eight innings of work where she allowed three hits and struck out five batters. Cameron recorded five hits on the game and errors were split between both teams at two each.

In game two,
Breezy McComas started things off for the Aggies by blasting her third homer of the series in the first inning with a two-run shot over left center. Cameron furthered their advantage to 5-0 in the second as
Carly Allerheiligen hit a 2 RBI double and a throwing error by the Mustang's shortstop allowed her to advance to third and another Aggie to cross the plate.

In the third inning,
Sonora Zukerman tripled to right field, and a
Paige Daino sac fly brought her in, 6-0. Zukerman was at it again in the fourth inning with a 3 RBI triple for the 9-0 CU edge.

MSU started the fifth inning with a pair of singles, but the next batter grounded into a double play, and a fielder's choice out brought the Aggie's the 9-0 win in a five inning run-rule game.
Â
Cameron out-hit MSU seven to four, and the Mustangs recorded two errors. Zukerman (10-5) recorded her second win of the series in addition to batting .466 on the weekend with 5 RBI, two doubles, and a triple.

The Aggies will conclude the regular season on the road against Angelo State beginning April 22.
