TEMPE, Ariz. – Aggie freshman Vinicius Santos and Graduate Assistant Coach Colby Meeks were honored at the NCAA Division II National Championships by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as the South Central Region Freshman of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year.

Santos came in for Cameron at the start of the spring season and finished with a 14-6 overall record playing mostly the three-slot.  Meeks joined the Aggies in the spring of 2014 as a graduate assistant for the men's tennis program and he has helped CU win three NCAA South Central regional titles.

This is the first time that the Aggies were awarded Assistant Coach of the Year and the first time since 2004 that CU has won Freshman of the Year.
