Suits and Sneakers:
As a part of Coaches vs. Cancer, the Cameron men's basketball coaching staff will join basketball coaches nation wide in participating in the Suits and Sneakers event on Thursday vs. Tarleton State. Coaches and their staff across the nation wear sneakers with their suits during games to raise awareness and help save lives from cancer by raising funds and encouraging people to educate themselves about cancer prevention, screening, and early detection. On Saturday, head coach
Andrew Brown and his staff will be wearing pink polo shirts to further the promotion of Coaches vs. Cancer. Coach Brown and the rest of the coaches around the nation hope that this event will not only encourage fans to become more aware of cancer and prevention and detection, but to encourage them to donate to their local cancer research venues.
First Tip:
- Following their win over rival Midwestern State, the Aggies find themselves in a four-way tie for second place in the Lone Star Conference.
- CU and Saturday's opponent Texas A&M-Commerce, along with West Texas A&M and UT Permian Basin, trail the LSC leader and Thursday's opponent Tarleton State by just one game.
- Against MSU, the Aggies topped season highs in field goal percentage (.509) and assists (22) on their way to their third straight win.

Delvonte Pierre had a career high 28 points on 10-13 shooting, which earned him LSC Offensive Player of the Week and OklahomaSports.Net College Player of the Week honors.

Tyler Williams chipped in 13 points against the Mustangs, while
JV Long had 12 points, six rebounds, and six assists, and
Jordan Lewis and
Elish Benjamin each had 11 points.
- The Aggies are one of the top teams in the nation in controlling the ball, ranking 24 nationally in fewest turnovers, 17 in turnover margin, and 39 in assist/turnover ratio.
- CU is averaging almost 77 points per game, while giving up 71.2 to their opponents.
- Williams continues to lead the team with 12.3 points per game, while averaging 4.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest.

Tyus Momoh is second on the team with 11.6 points per contest, and is shooting 42.3 percent from the field and 37 percent from three point range, while boosting his assists and steals to 3.2 and 1.4 per game.
- Long has continued to show why he was named the LSC Freshman of the Year last season, averaging 11.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest; he is also shooting over 47 percent from the field and making 82 percent of his foul shots.
- Pierre's stellar outing against MSU raised his season average to 10.1 points per game, while leading the team with 5.4 rebounds per contest; he is shooting over 42 percent from the field and has made 38.4 percent of his shots from the perimeter.
About No. 14 Tarleton State:
- The Texans are coming off of a loss to UT Permian Basin in their last contest, which moved them to 7-2 in conference play.
- TSU is a solid overall team, but their play on defense, which is 12th nationally in scoring defense, third in field goal defense, and 12 in three-point field goal defense, is what propels their success.
- Tarleton is also strong on the offensive side of the ball, as they are first in the LSC in field goal percentage and second in scoring margin.
- Four Texans are scoring in double-figures as Ridell Camidge leads the way with 15.8 points per game, Chantz Chambers and Romond Jenkins each average 12.1 points, and Deshawn Riddick scores 10.7 points per game.
- Camidge leads the LSC in free throw percentage and is second in three point percentage, while averaging three made three balls per contest.
- Jenkins is first in the LSC in just about every rebounding category and is sixth nationally in both field goal percentage and double-doubles with 10 on the season; he also leads the league with 36 total blocks.

In the matchup in Stephenville, Texas earlier this season, CU struggled on offense, shooting just 32.3 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from long range, while the Texans shot over 52 percent from both to secure the 73-60 win. Momoh led the Ags with 13 points, while TSU's Camidge led all scorers with 19 points, going 5-9 from the perimeter.

In overtime, the Aggies went 5-6 from the field, 3-3 from behind the three-point line, and 5-7 from the charity stripe to earn the 81-74 victory. Long had 18 points and seven rebounds for Cameron, while Momoh chipped in 17 points. Albert and Seymore led the Lions on offense, combining for 43 points.
