UTPB extended their lead to their largest of 13 points in the second half. The Aggies' steadily chipped away until taking their first advantage of the second frame halfway in as Trey Hall brought the 57-56 lead with a three-pointer.

After falling behind again, Jalen Nicholas delivered the three-pointer that would lock in the Aggies' lead with a little over five minutes remaining. Cameron kept ahead to win 81-76 after improving to 57 percent from the field and made seven three-pointers coupled with a 14-for-22 effort at the line in the half.

Overall, Cameron's free-throw shooting made the difference as they finished the game shooting 63 percent compared to UTPB's 56 percent.

However, the Falcons did beat the Aggies at the glass, grabbing 38 boards over CU's 31.
