Savanna James scored over 20 points as the Wasilla, Alaska native tallied 23 in the Aggies' 84-62 victory over UT-Permian Basin on Thursday evening.
James was one rebound shy of nabbing her fifth double-double of the season, and was the Aggies' top scorer of the night. She also made three treys and went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
Natalie Halbleib and
Jamie Bonnarens also joined James in the double digits, scoring 18 and 17 points, respectively. With nine boards, Halbleib also narrowly missed earning her fifth double-double of the year, but contributed five steals in the game.

Cameron used a second half surge to take down the Falcons and held the league's top free throw shooters to 61 percent from the line, while the Aggies shot 77 percent from the charity stripe themselves.
Overall, the Aggies shot 43 percent from the field and 38 percent from beyond the arc as UTPB shot 33 percent on the floor and 35 percent from out deep. The Aggies also won the rebounding battle 43-39.
While Cameron led for over 80 percent of the first half, the Falcons managed to take a 33-30 advantage at the halftime buzzer helped by a 10-for-11 effort at the free throw line in the second quarter.
In the final minute of the half, UTPB took the lead by making their third three-pointer of the game and drew a foul a play later making both free throws to take their largest lead of four points. Cameron made one free throw and missed a last second three-point attempt at the buzzer.
Both sides shot a little over 30 percent from the field, and Cameron went 6-for-10 from the line while making two three-pointers to shoot just 20 percent from beyond the arc.
Cameron started the second half with 12 unanswered points, half of which were scored by James, over the first five minutes. UTPB did not make their first bucket of the frame until the 4:51-marker with a three-pointer.
The Aggies would outscore the Falcons 26-16 in the third period shooting over 60 percent from the field and arc while keeping the Falcons to 40 percent in both. Cameron maintained momentum heading into the final frame and would hold UTPB to just 13 points to not see the lead again.
