PORTALES, N.M. -- The Cameron volleyball team fell in straight sets (21-25, 17-25, 25-17)Â at Eastern New Mexico on Friday evening.
Paige Dixon led the Aggie offense with 10 kills,
Brittany Lawson added six kills and
Bristol Lewis five kills.
Ashleigh McFatridge recorded four blocks of the Aggie's seven total.
Brook Conley had a team high 18 assists.
Katrina Campbell and
Brittnee Altic each had 12 digs.
ENMU's Brooklyn Biel knocked down a match best 13 kills while teammates Sara Tuioti-Mariner and Jasmine Gannon added ten each.
Cameron struggled against a strong ENMU offense who outmatched the Aggies in kills 50-29. The Greyhounds posted 17 kills in the first two sets and 16 in the third and final set. ENMUÂ never let CU gain the lead, seeing just one tie at 1-1 in the opening set.
In set three, Cameron tried to prevent the sweep as they trailed 21-17, but the game did not go in their favor as the Greyhounds took the next four points on three straight kills and an Aggie attack error for the win.
CU drops to 7-16 and 3-11 in the Lone Star Conference. ENMU is now 10-14 on the year and 7-7 in the league.
