Scouting Dallas Baptist:
Dallas Baptist is a perfect 3-0 and has beaten some very good teams. They opened up the year with back-to-back  20+ point victories over Colorado Christian and Colorado Mesa at the Heartland/RMAC Conference Challenge. DBU followed that up with a seven point win over last season's Lone Star Conference Champion and sixth ranked UTPB. Against the Falcons, the Patriots held the opposition to shooting just 29.2 percent from three point range and forced 17 turnovers. Boy Van Vliet led the home team with 19 points, while four others chipped in with double-figure performances.

On the season, DBU is averaging over 87 points per game and is shooting 50 percent from the field. They are winning the turnover battle by an average of six and collect 15.3 assists per contest. Dallas Baptist uses their 10 steals per contest and 4.7 blocks to hold the opposition to an average of just 66.7 points and a field goal percentage of .362.

Van Vliet leads the team with over 20 points per contest, while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. His best game came against Colorado Mesa, where he had 30 points on 13-18 shooting from the field. Additionally, Carter Brown, Candler Jacobs, and Patrick Burke all average of 10 points per game.

All-Time vs. DBU:
-CU leads 20-11
-Cameron and DBU have matched up the past two seasons, but before that there was a seven year drought of playing each other.
-Last meeting: Nov. 26, 2016 in Lawton, Okla. (76-70 CU win)

Looking Back:
Cameron split their games last week against two very good teams at the Fairfield Inn Classic. In their win over Central Missouri, CU shot over 50 percent from the field and the perimeter while hitting on 16 of 20 free throw attempts. Tyus Momoh led the Aggies with 20 points, while Tyler Williams had 14 and Zach Dumas and Bryce Elie each had 11; Momoh and Williams each had seven rebounds for CU. Against Maryville a day later, Cameron rallied back from being down nine with nine minutes to play, but missed their chance to tie the game on a free throw with just one second left on the clock to fall 83-82. Elie came up big in the comeback, scoring 27 points, while JV Long and Jalen Nicholas each chipped in 13 points.

Looking Ahead:
The Aggies will host Southwestern Oklahoma State for their home opener on Saturday, Nov. 25 starting at 3 p.m. for their last non-conference game before starting Lone Star Conference play.
