Scouting the Chaparrals:
Lubbock Christian opened the season on a three game losing streak before going 3-1 in their next three contests. They enter the matchup with the Aggies on another three game skid after falling to No. 8 West Texas A&M, 82-72, their last time out. LCU did beat LSC member Angelo State 69-65 on November 25 and played in close games against No. 6 UT Permian Basin and Texas A&M-Commerce.

Against the Buffs, the Chaparrals got a 30 point, 11 rebound effort from Brennen Fowler. Fowler is currently second on the team in scoring (15.8) but leads the team and the conference with 8.5 rebounds per contest, while shooting over 55 percent from the field. LCU's leading scorer, Isaac Asrat, who is averaging over 20 points per game this season, scored just 12 points against WT, while Stephen Lennox also had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Rogers State is coming off of a 68-63 win over Emporia State, where they got a 17 point effort from their leading scorer, Baron Smith Jr. Smith Jr. is averaging 18.4 points per game while shooting over 47 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from three; he also leads the Cats in steals with 18. Additionally, three other RSU players are scoring in double-figures with Brewster Peacock, Saint Hilaire, and Tate Turner all scoring around 10 points per game.

Against the ranked Javelinas, Cameron turned the ball over 17 times and shot under 40 percent from the field while making just 33 percent of their threes and 61 percent of the free throws.
Tyler Williams led the scoring effort with 13 points while
JV Long chipped in 11 points and four steals. Two days later, CU struggled to get anything going on offense, shooting under 30 percent from the field and the perimeter.
