ODESSA, Texas – Jamie Bonnarens scored the Aggie women's basketball teams first 30-point game of the season as she had 32 in the 92-72 win over UT Permian Basin on Saturday. The win moved CU to 9-13 overall and 7-9 in Lone Star Conference play.

The first quarter was controlled by the Falcons, as they used two 5-0 runs and a 6-0 run to take an early 24-17 lead through 10 minutes of play. Cameron responded in the second quarter and put together a 9-0 run at the 6:21 mark to take a three point lead with 4:39 left in the half. After a UTPB three pointer to tie the game, CU scored five straight to take back the lead and extend it to five with just over three minutes to play in the half. UT Permian Basin then went on a 9-0 run of their own to close out the half, which had them leading 43-41 at the break.

The Aggies shot 44.1 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from three, and made 8-9 from the free throw line through the first 20 minutes of play. Bonnarens had 13 points and five rebounds to lead CU, while Briana Caro led UTPB with 15 points and eight boards in the first.

Following a three pointer from the Falcons to start the third quarter, CU went on a 16-4 run to go up 58-49 with 3:40 to play in the third frame. The Aggies maintained their momentum and closed out the quarter with a Brittany Hill three pointer to put the score at 70-56. From there CU maintained their lead and even extended to 18 at the 3:40 mark. They closed out the game on an 8-1 run to take the game 92-72.
