About the Aggies:
Cameron, who enters the LSC Tournament as the six seed, finished the regular season with a 11-16 overall record and a 7-11 league mark. They average just under four points per game while ranking as one of the top teams in fewest turnovers this season.
JV Long leads CU with 11.7 points per contests, while averaging 4.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and totaling 40 steals in his final season playing for the Ags.
Tyler Williams is second on the team with 10 points per game while leading the Black and Gold with 5.3 rebounds per outing. Additionally,

Scouting the Texans:
Tarleton State finished the regular season with an 18-10 overall record and a 12-8 LSC record. They are tops in the league in scoring defense and are also one of the best free throw shooting teams in the nation. TSU is ranked first in the conference with a 37.7 three point percentage and first in three point defense. Corinthian Ramsey leads the Texans with 18.7 points per game, while Josh Hawley averages 13.8 points, Deshawn Riddick averages 12.4, and Jaraan Lands averages 10.3. Ramsey is fourth in the conference in scoring, while he and Riddick are top-10 in assists. Hawley leads the LSC with 1.8 blocks per game and is third with 9.2 rebounds each time out. All three of CU's top-3 scorers are also ranked in the top-10 in the LSC in steals. Hawley and Ramsey were both named to the All-LSC second team on Wednesday night, while Riddick was named to the third-team; Hawley was also named to the LSC All-Defensive team.
This Season Against TSU:
The Aggies and Tarleton State split their season series with each team winning at their respective home courts. In CU's first contest against the Texans, the Black and Gold rebounded from a 33-26 halftime deficit to win 64-63. They shot 56 percent from the floor in the second half and nailed 6-14 from the perimeter and 4-5 from the free throw line.
Delano Jones had 13 points on 5-6 shooting, while
JV Long had 12 points, nine rebounds, and six assists; Josh Hawley led TSU with 20 points and eight rebounds.
In the second matchup of the season, Tarleton State shot over 52 percent from the field and held CU to just 22 points in the first half to earn the 68-59 win. Corianthian Ramsey had a game-high 29 points, for the Texans, while Cameron was led by
Elish Benjamin, Jones, and
Jordan Lewis, who each had 10 points.

- The Aggies have just two wins in the last 10 meetings between the two teams.

CU in the Tournament:
The Aggies are 5-13 all time in Lone Star Conference tournament play and have been to postseason play for seven straight seasons now. Last season CU lost a hard fought defensive battle to Texas A&M-Commerce to fall 54-52. This will be the first time that the Aggies and Texans have faced off in LSC Championship play. On the other side, Tarleton State has been to the league tournament 20 times and own a 28-16 overall record in league postseason play and are three time tournament champions.
Against the Bracket:
If Cameron gets past the Texans, they will face the winner of the UT Permian Basin/Midwestern State first round matchup. The Aggies are just 1-3 against the Falcons and Mustangs this season. On the other side of the bracket lies Angelo State, Texas A&M-Commerce, Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M. Cameron went just 2-6 against those four teams this season.
All-Conference:
The Aggies had one All-Conference selection this season.
JV Long was named all-league for the second straight year as the Lone Star Conference named the junior to the third team. Last season, Long was selected to the second team, and the year before that, he was named the LSC Freshman of the Year.
