LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron Aggie softball team split the final two games of a three game series against Midwestern State on Saturday, falling in game one 3-1, and winning game two 8-0 in six innings; the Mustangs won the weekend series two games to one.
Game one of the doubleheader was a pitcher's duel throughout most of the game.
Bethany Hines gave up just one hit through the first five innings. The sixth inning was the one blemish on the box score for the sophomore. MSU scored three runs on two hits and an error in the top of the sixth, which would lead to their 3-1 win.
Cameron's one run of the game came back in the fourth inning when

The Aggies were able to get the offense up and running in game two however, as they scored eight runs on six hits to force the run-rule win in the sixth inning.
Cameron got on the board early on in the game, scoring four runs, two coming on a single by
Alyssa Osterdock in the top of the first. They added to their lead in the second and third innings as
Makaylah Ramirez drove in a run on a hit in the second and
Annie Combs came in to steal home as B. Busby got caught in a rundown in the third.
Up 6-0, the Black and Gold ended the game in the sixth as
Kaitlyn Alvarado doubled in B. Busby and then pinch runner
Lauren Mason came in to score on another throwing error by MSU's shortstop.
CU's
