Brown adds four to already strong recruiting class

LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron men's basketball coach Andrew Brown and the Aggie men's basketball program announced the signing of four standout high school players and proven winners as all four signed their national letter of intent on Tuesday.

2018 Signing Class Guide

"This recruiting class should excite people," said Brown. "Every one of these kids understand the process of having a winning culture and the work it takes to become a winning team. They are unselfish players that complement each other in all ways."

Cameron's 2018 signing class now includes Oklahoma All-State performer Dalton Vinson, two sport stud Brock Schreiner, Oklahoma State Champion Latarryus "Smitty" Smith, and two time Texas 17-6A All-District selection Kendall Scott. Vinson and Scott are a pair of power forwards that stand over 6-6. They can both be immediate impacts in all aspects of the game for CU. Smith and Schreiner are a pair of point guards who have proven they can lead their teams to wins and make everyone on the court better when they are on the floor.

"I felt like we needed to upgrade and get deeper with perimeter shooting and needed to very much upgrade our team physicality. I was disappointed in our rebounding last year. I thought we gave good effort on the boards but did not have the personnel to be GREAT on the glass. These 4 added to Andrew Nguyen and Hunter Quick address depth at the point guard position, perimeter shooting, and should make us much better rebounding team".

Nguyen, who was a teammate of Scott in high school, and Quick both signed during the early signing period in the fall. The six incoming freshman should provide Aggie fans with plenty of things to cheer about in the years to come.
