LAWTON- The Cameron softball team shined under their brand new stadium lights during Friday night's double header with Western New Mexico as they defeated the Mustangs in a pair of run-rule shutout games.
The Aggies combined for 29 runs, putting on quite the performance for the debut of stadium lights purchased with a donation from the McMahon Foundation for McMahon Field.
CU took game one 13-0 and game two 16-0 each in five innings.
Brenna Busby had a standout night as she powered three home runs, batted in eight runs; four in each game, and added a double and two stolen bases to the stat sheet.
She was among six Aggies who homered during the double header as CU hit eight over the fence.
Rylee Willmon (14-8) was game one's starter and winning pitcher in the circle as she threw three innings, allowing just two hits and struck out five. Â
Alyssa Osterdock closed out the final two frames allowing no hits and walked one.
In game two,
Madyson Marvulli matched B. Busby for four RBI herself, hitting a double and a homer, one of five long balls in the game.
Bethany Hines went to 13-7 after pitching all five innings allowing just three hits and one walk.
Cameron is now 28-15, 15-11 LSC, while Western New Mexico is 4-40, 2-24 LSC.
The Aggies will complete the series beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday where the three Aggie seniors,Â

Lauren Mason, will be honored for their hard work on and off the field. The celebration of their CU careers will take place 15 minutes prior to the start of the game.
