LAWTON, Okla. –
Alyssa Osterdock's career day helped lead the Aggies to a 6-4 win over Eastern New Mexico on Sunday, sweeping the three game series over the Greyhounds this weekend.
Cameron's junior first basemen tripled her career total for home runs with a pair of long balls on Sunday. Down 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, she hit her first dinger, a solo shot in the left center gap.
Osterdock came up again in the bottom of the fifth with the bases loaded and two outs and plated four runs on a grand slam, her third homer of her career, to give CU the 6-2 lead.
After ENMU put two more runs on the board in the sixth,
Annie Combs gave CU another insurance run as she hit a solo homer to left field, her sixth of the season, in the bottom of the inning.
Rylee Willmon came in to pitch in the sixth inning, and despite giving up a two run homer, she closed out the game, totaling two strikeouts in the sixth and seventh for her second save on the season.
Willmon was on in relief of
Bethany Hines, who recorded her 12
th win, giving up no earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts in five innings of work.
Osterdock went 2-2 on the day with five RBI. Combs had one of the other hits for CU, while Hines and
Brenna Busby had one each.
Cameron moves to 25-11 on the season and 13-8 in Lone Star Conference play with the win. The Greyhounds are now 16-26 overall and 8-16 in league contests.
The Aggies have a tough stretch ahead of them this week, visiting Central Oklahoma on Tuesday, April 10, for two games, and then traveling to ranked West Texas A&M for a three game set Friday and Saturday, April 13-14.
