RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference announced Thursday that 1,237 student-athletes have earned Commissioner's Honor Roll honors for the 2018-19 fall semester.

Cameron Athletics had a total of 78 student-athletes named to the honor, including 29 who earned a 4.0 GPA for the fall semesters. Of CU's 13 NCAA Division II sponsored sports, the Aggie baseball team had the most student-athletes to make the honor roll, with eight 4.0 honorees. Softball had the second highest with 12, followed by women's basketball and volleyball with eight each, and women's tennis with six. Men's tennis, men's basketball, and women's cross country/track and field all had five honorees, while men's cross country/track and field, men's golf, and women's golf each had four. 

Angelo State posted the highest number of student-athletes on the honor roll with 147 members.  Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M tied for second with 144 honorees each, while UT Permian Basin was fourth (138) and Texas A&M-Commerce fifth (132).
The final count included 351 students with a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.  ASU led the list of flawless marks with 48 individuals, while A&M-C had 42, and Texas A&M-Kingsville 38.
 
Football claimed the top spot on the list of perfect marks with 41, followed by softball (37), volleyball (36), women's soccer (35), and baseball (34).

The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester.  To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
