Momoh scores career-high 23 in loss to Texas A&M-Commerce

LAWTON, Okla.- Senior Tyus Momoh scored a career-high 23 points in the Aggies' 97-80 loss to Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday, falling to 0-4 in LSC play this season.

The first half was a dogfight, as neither side could create separation. In a 41-40 contest at the break, Cameron spent the first half shooting 44 percent from the floor and 35 percent from deep. The Aggies also won the first half rebounding battle, 24-17. The largest lead for either side was five points in the first half, with Cameron leading for nearly 11-minutes in the first half.

The Aggies turned the ball over ten times in the first half and committed fourteen fouls before the break. That was the biggest difference in the contest resulting in the CU trailing by a point to start the second half.

Momoh led the Aggies in scoring in the first half, with thirteen.  He went three for six from three-point range in the first half while dishing out five assists in 15 minutes. The redshirt senior finished with 23 points and six assists as well as seven rebounds.

In the second half, the Aggies fell behind 53-47 at the first media timeout of the half. Cameron came out of the locker room and gave away three turnovers by the 15 minute mark, allowing the Lions to take a quick eight point lead.

The Lions offense came alive, while the Aggies stalled resulting in a fourteen point Lions lead via a 25-12 run where they shot 10-of-13 from the field, with four made free throws. Cameron turned the ball over five times in that stretch alone.

Cameron is now 4-10 overall this season and 0-4 in league play, while Texas A&M-Commerce is now 11-2 and a  perfect 4-0 against LSC opponents.

The Aggies are now on a four-game skid and look to rebound next Thursday night, Jan. 10 against Western New Mexico with tipoff slated for 7:30 p.m. at the Aggie Gym.
