After Cameron got to within seven thanks to a 3-2 stretch, TAMUK scored eight straight to take a 23-8 advantage. The Aggies answered with a 4-1 run, but it was little too late as the Javelinas earned a 25-12 win on a kill by Jordan Wonders.

In the second set, Cameron led early and then had to fight back from a five-point deficit with a 4-0 run to set the score at 18-17. TAMUK responded with a 7-2 run down the stretch to claim the set 25-19 and take a 2-0 lead in the match.

Texas A&M-Kingsville kicked off the third set with an 8-4 lead and then stretched that to 17-7 later in the set thanks to a 7-0 run. CU stopped the rally with a pair of kills by Riana Blount and Demirjian, but the Javelinas answered with six straight to go up 23-9. Cameron got two points back, but the Javelinas closed out the set with a kill by Mia Soto and an ace by Jordan Schenkel to win 25-11.
