Jordan Lewis was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after dropping 22 points on 8-11 shooting from the field and 5-8 from three in Cameron's win over Western New Mexico last Saturday.

Kendall Scott, the LSC's third leading rebounder, had his second double-digit rebound game of the season against the Mustangs, grabbing 11 boards, all on the defensive end; the sophomore is averaging 8.6 rebounds per game this season.
3. Cameron leads the LSC in three-point shooting percentage, making 7.6 triples per outing at a 40.8 percent clip, with Lewis making 2.3 per contest at a 45.7 percent clip.
4. UT Permian Basin ranks in the top-10 in the nation in scoring offense (93.5 ppg), field goal percentage (.526), total assists (191), and total steals (95).
5. Boise State transfer Pat Dembley is making an early case for LSC Newcomer and Player of the Year as he is leading the LSC in total points (253), steals (29), assists (60), field goals made (77), free throws made (63), and three-point field goals made (36).

Cameron outlasted Western New Mexico for their first Lone Star Conference win in a back and forth affair. CU held just a one-point lead at halftime in New Mexico and in the second half alone, there were 12 lead changes and seven tie scores. The Aggies relied on clutch plays from Lewis and
Brock Schreiner down the stretch to earn the six-point victory.
Lewis led the way with a career-high 22 points, going an efficient 8-11 from the floor with five made triples. Schreiner added 12 points, which included two late treys and a converted and-one play late in the game. Additionally, Joesph Clark added 12 points and seven boards off the bench and
Kendall Scott led the squad with 11 rebounds.
About the Aggies:
With their win over WNMU, the Black and Gold has won two games and a row and are 2-5 on the year. They are averaging 66.7 points per game, while allowing 76.3 to their opposition. CU is shooting just under 40 percent from the field, with a better three-point percentage at 40.8 percent on the season. They are also making 12.3 foul shots at a 67.2 percent clip. UT Permian Basin is won of the top teams in the conference so far this season, recording a 9-2 overall mark and a 2-0 league record through 11 games. They have scored over 90-plus points in seven games this season and have won nine games in a row, including league wins against Western New Mexico and Midwestern State. UTPB has a high-powered offense that is scoring 93.5 points per game while shooting 52.6 percent from the floor, 38.6 percent from three, and 77.3 percent from the free throw line. They average 17.4 assists and just 14.9 turnovers per outing. Defensively, the Falcons give up 81.5 points per game to their opponents, who are also shooting 44.7 percent from the floor and are making 16 foul shots per contest. UTPB averages 8.6 steals and 2.5 blocks on the defensive end.
Dembley is averaging 23 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.6 steals per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field, 44.4 percent from three, and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe.
