Momoh and Dumas combine for 23 points on Senior Day

LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University men's basketball team dropped their regular season finale to Angelo State 78-58, as the two Aggie seniors poured in a combined 23 points in their final game in the Aggie Gym.
 
After the first half, the Aggies found themselves down 37-23. Senior guard Tyus Momoh led the way for CU in the first half with six points, two rebounds, and two steals. Senior forward Zach Dumas poured in four points himself.
 
Cameron University shot just 31 percent from the floor, and that number dipped to 12-percent from beyond the arc (1-for-8) in the first two minutes.
 
The Aggies who led by ten 23 seconds into the game, found themselves down 14 at the break. They committed eight personal fouls, good enough to send the Rams to the line 13 times in the first half. Angelo State earned 23 points off their bench, compared to the Aggies just six bench points. The Black and Gold were outrebounded 26-17 in the first half.
           
The Aggie men fell behind by twenty midway through the second half. That lead grew to 19 points at one point in the final half and play before the Aggies loss 78-58.
           
On Senior Day, Cameron's seniors combined for 23 points with Momoh scoring 15 points, and Dumas posting eight points. CU ended the game shooting just 39 percent from the floor, and 37 percent from deep. Freshman guard Brock Schreiner turned in 13 points, including a trio of three pointers to go along with five rebounds.
 
Cameron finished the regular season with a 9-19 overall record and a 5-13 league mark.
           
Up next for the Aggies will be a trip to Frisco, Texas to participate in the Lone Star Conference Tournament. They will play the No. 1 seed West Texas A&M on Thursday March 7, at 6 p.m.
