WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Cameron women's tennis notched their first two wins of the season on Friday, beating Colorado State-Pueblo 7-0 and then Colorado Mesa 6-1.
 
Against the Thunderwolves, the two teams played just two doubles matches, with CU taking both by a score of 6-0. They then won all six of the singles matches, winning one through five in two sets and the sixth by default.
 
Cameron then started out with a pair of 6-4 wins in one and two doubles against CMU to take an early 1-0 lead and then adding a 7-5 at No. 3, despite already winning the point.
 
In singles, the Aggies won all but the No. 6 match. Sarah Frendo went to three sets at No. 1, but came away with a 6-3, 2-6, 10-0 win, while the other four were won in two sets.
 
The two wins snap a six game losing skid to start the spring, and the Aggies are now 2-6 on the season. They will finish off the three match weekend by hosting Metro State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
