WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Cameron men's tennis team opened their weekend with a pair dominant regional wins, defeating Metro State 4-0 and Colorado Mesa 7-0 on Friday.

The Aggies began their slate of four matches in Wichita Falls this weekend with a 4-0 win over the MSU Denver Roadrunners.

After losing the doubles match at one, CU bounced back with a 6-4 win at No. 2 by the duo of
Bruno Vietri and
Santiago Berdasco and then a 7-6 win at three via
Oscar del Granado and
Maycon Dias.

Cameron earned three wins in singles play to secure the shortened match victory. Vietri won 6-3, 7-5 at one,
Pierre Marion defeated his opponent at three 6-1, 6-3, and Dias won his match at No. 5 6-2, 6-2.

In their second match of the day, Cameron swept all seven matches, starting with wins at all three doubles battles to secure the first point of the contest.

All but one of the singles matches against the Mavericks were won in two sets. The lone three-set battle came at No. 6, where
Gabe Wilbourn bounced back from a 7-5 loss in set one by winning 6-2 and 10-7 in the final two frames to secure the win.

The Aggies are now 4-3 on the season and will continue their stretch of matches against Colorado foes on Saturday morning when they take on Colorado State-Pueblo beginning at 9 a.m.
