LAWTON – Due to the threat of projected storms on Tuesday, Cameron's home women's golf tournament, the Oklahoma Intercollegiate, has been changed to a one-day tournament on Monday at the Lawton Country Club. 
 
Aggie women's golf coach Christi Williams made the decision to move the annual tournament to a one-day event as they anticipation of inclement weather increases for Tuesday. Not wanting to deal with delays or being forced off the course, Williams notified the rest of the teams that all 36 holes will be played on Monday. 
 
Just a year ago, Cameron's home tournament was played over the course of a day, but in that instance, it was due to the pandemic and health and safety protocols. The Aggies placed seventh in last year's tournament. 
 
The Oklahoma Intercollegiate field will consist of nine teams with five individuals competing as well. Cameron will be joined by fellow Lone Star Conference teams Angelo State, Oklahoma Christian, Midwestern State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, and UT Permian Basin as well as tough JUCO opponents Blinn College, Tyler Junior College, and Ranger College. 
 
Cameron's lineup is led by veteran Iona Roska, who is playing in her fourth home tournament, including last season when she finished in a tie for third place with a two-round score of 154. She is joined by Ashley Davis, Gerdur Ragnarsdottir, Emma Englefield, and Ellie Fellers. Molleejo Crain and Malerie Nyberg will compete as individuals. 
 
The opening round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. at the Lawton Country Club. Cameron's team wills start on holes 1-5 and the individuals will be on 16 and 17. The course is open to fans, but due to the teams using carts to speed up pace, extra carts are limited for rent.
