DENTON, Texas – Cameron volleyball dropped a match to Texas Woman's Friday evening inside the Kitty Magee Arena 0-3.
Meagan Jimenez and Arianna Navarrete turned in a team-high 14 digs, Alice Tuci added six, Jessica Lipkit and Anjolie Navarrete collected five, Natalia Araujo had four, and Caitlyn Henderson grabbed one.
Anjolie Navarrete collected a team-high nine kills, Arianna Navarrete added seven kills, Jacee Stelter had five, Araujo and Lipkit recorded three, and Henderson added two.
Tuci had a team-high nine assists, Anjolie Navarrete added seven, Jimenez and Arianna Navarrete had three, and Trinity Maldonado recorded one.
Jimenez had one ace for the Aggies.
Henderson had the lone block for Cameron.
TWU started with an early lead, but a 6-0 run by the Black-and-Gold would give them an 8-5 lead. CU would extend their lead to 15-9, holding a 19-14 lead late. Texas Woman's clamped down, going on an 0-11 rally to steal the first set 19-25.
TWU took an early lead with a 4-9 advantage, but the Aggies would chip away and use a 5-0 run to take the lead at 17-15. Cameron could not hold off Texas Woman's, who went on a 3-10 rally to take the second set 20-25.
The Pioneers would open with a 2-8 lead in the third set. TWU kept the petal down, holding off any rally by the CU, going on to win the match with an 11-25 score.
Cameron finishes this road trip with a match against Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Saturday at noon.
