Aggies Fall to SEU

LAWTON, Okla. - The Cameron Aggies men's basketball team falls to the St. Edward's Hilltoppers in the Aggie Gym on Monday, despite four Aggies reaching double-figures.

The Aggies are in the midst of a three games in four nights stretch that includes a back-to-back set, with the first leg being Monday night in the Aggie Gym against the Hilltoppers before CU welcomes Northwestern Oklahoma State on Tuesday.

Cameron is still searching for their first win within the Lone Star Conference, falling to 0-4 within the LSC, riding a five-game losing streak, and dropping to a 2-7 record overall.

The Hilltoppers continue to cruise now with nine wins and just one loss, as St. Edward's has not suffered a defeat since the first game of the season way back on November 11th.

Kevin O'Connor's offense got going, with four Aggies reaching double-figures and the Black-and-Gold cracking 70 points for the sixth time this season.

DeSean Munson led all Cameron scorers with a 16 points 10 rebound double-double that included two blocks in his 27 minutes. Munson did an excellent job of flashing through the paint and being there for his guards to find to which Reggie Prudhomme benefited to the tune of a game-high four assists.

Prudhomme also finished in double figures, with 11 joining Munson, Jaylen Thomas (13), and Caylen Goff-Brown (13).

Cameron Tuttle led all scorers with 22 points for the Hilltoppers thanks to blitzing in six triples. Jeff Gary chipped in 19 points for SEU.

Cameron never led in this game, lost the rebounding battle by 12, and committed just five turnovers while creating 11.

Next, the Cameron Aggies will face off again with Northwestern Oklahoma State University, this time in the Aggie Gym. CU went to Alva, Okla., on November 26th and narrowly lost 89-86 to the Rangers. That game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. and act as the Black-and-Gold's final non-conference game of the season. Cameron returns to conference play on Saturday, December 17th, when they renew the DII Red River Rivalry at 3 p.m. in the Aggie Gym.
