Cameron in seventh through 36 holes at the Lion Invitational

TROPHY CLUB, Texas – After a solid start to the Lion Invitational on Monday, the Aggie women found themselves in fourth place but dropped to seventh after their second round at the Trophy Club. 
 
Through 36 holes on the Hogan Course, Cameron has score of 642, which is 25 strokes back of the current leader and host Texas A&M-Commerce. All but one of the groups were able to get in both rounds on Monday before play was halted leaving the second round incomplete officially. 
 
Cameron sat in fourth after the first round of play with a 317. Ellie Fellers shot 78 with a pair of birdies while Iona Roska and Ashley Davis both shot 79 with one birdie each on their scorecards. Emma Englefield with an 81 and Gerdur Ragnarsdottir with an 84 rounded out the lineup. 
 
The Aggies had a harder time in the second round, following their first round with a 325 in the second on Monday afternoon. Davis picked up where she left off in the opening 18 holes, shooting a 79. Roska shot 80 and Fellers carded an 82 while Ragnarsdottir added an 84 and Englfield had a throw-out score of 90. 
 
On the player leaderboard, Davis is tied for 13th with a 158, Roska is tied for 15th with a 159, and Fellers is tied for 17th with her 160 two-round score. 
 
Additionally, Molleejo Crain is competing as well in the event as an individual. Crain carded an 85 in the opening round and then had an 83 in round two at the Trophy Club. 
 
Cameron has made 92 total pars led by Davis with 23 and nine birdies with Ragnarsdottir and Fellers each making three under-par holes. 
 
The Lions lead the tournament standings by four strokes as Angelo State has a score of 621 in second. Southwestern Oklahoma State, Arkansas Tech, and Midwestern State round out the top-5 with Harding coming in just ahead of CU in sixth, but without a complete second round score. 
 
ATU's Jacqueline Klemm has the low individual round through 36-holes with a 4-over score of 148 with matching 74's on Monday. 
 
Tuesday's action at the Trophy Club will begin with the final group finishing the second round at 8 a.m. and then third round teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
