Cameron Drops Midweek Matchup

LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron drops the non-conference game against Northwestern Oklahoma State University 0-3, dropping the sets 24-26, 21-25, and 21-25 Tuesday evening in the Aggie Gym.
 
Anjolie Navarrete led the Aggies with her seventh double-double of the season with 10 kills and 14 assists. Caitlyn Henderson and Arianna Navarrete collected eight kills, Natalia Araujo recorded four, Jessica Lipkit had two, and Trinity Maldonado and Jacee Stelter added one. 
 
Anjolie Navarrete had a team-high 14 assists, Alice Tuci served up 12, Meagan Jimenez recorded two, and Lipkit and Arianna Navarrete had one.
 
Jimenez collected a game-high 21 digs, Araujo collected 11, Arianna Navarrete added 10, Anjolie Navarrete recorded six, Henderson and Tuci added three, and Lipkit and Stelter had one. 
 
Arianna Navarrete scored four aces, and Anjolie Navarrete added one. 
 
Henderson and Lipkit swatted four blocks, Araujo collected three, Stelter had two, and Maldonado, Anjolie Navarrete, and Arianna Navarrete added one.
 
The first set would open in favor of Northwestern with an 0-6 start, building an early 2-10 lead. CU would climb back to tie the set at 21-21 and take a 24-23 lead before dropping the set 24-26. 
 
Cameron would start the second set with a 5-2 advantage, stretching the lead to 10-5. NWOSU used a 0-7 run to take the lead at 10-12. The Aggies would knot the score at 14-14 but could not take over, dropping the set 21-25. 
 
The Black-and-Gold would start strong, like set two with a 5-2 lead. The two teams would trade points, with five different occasions holding a tie. The Rangers would use a late 2-6 rally to close the match with a 21-25 set three score. 
 
CU returns to Lone Star Conference play with UT Permian Basin coming to Lawton, on Friday, Sept. 30, with the match set to start at 5:30 pm.
