LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron close out the homestand this weekend with West Texas A&M and Lubbock Christian. Thursday night WT will visit Lawton with the tip scheduled for 7:30 pm. The Aggies will finish the week against LCU on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
STARTING 5:
1. The duo of Jaylan Thomas and Caylen Goff-Brown would lead Cameron over Arkansas Fort Smith with 22 and 21 points last Saturday, as the Aggies won 84-72.
2. Cameron has five players averaging nine points per game or more, led by DeSean Munson (12.3 ppg), Caylen Goff-Brown (12,1 ppg), Jaylan Thomas (9.9 ppg), Reggie Prudhomme (9.5 ppg), and Colt Savage (9.2 ppg). They rank fourth in the conference shooting 35.7 percent from three. They also grab the third most defensive rebounds a game, 25.8.

West Texas A&M comes into the matchup at the top of the LSC with Angelo State, with a 13-5, 11-1 LSC, 5-1 DIV., on a five-game winning streak after taking down Dallas Baptist and UT Tyler last week. They have four players averaging double figures, Julius Brown (17.0 ppg), Larry Wise (15.0 ppg), Thornton (14.9 ppg), and Zach Toussaint (11.0 ppg).
4. LCU is 12-6 on the season, 8-4 in conference play, and 3-3 in the East Division. They won two games last week over UTT and DBU. They are led by a trio of double-digit scorers, with Mackenzie leading the team with 19.4 ppg, Russell Harrison scoring 15.6 ppg, and Najeeb Muhammad averaging 10.4 ppg.

Defensively, the Aggies are giving up 78.6 points to their opposition while allowing teams to shoot 44.5 percent from the field and 32.5 percent from three. Earlier this season, Cameron's men's basketball team suffered a 102-80 defeat at the hands of West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas. DeSean Munson would lead the Aggies in scoring with 21 points, and Caylen Goff-Brown and Colt Savage joined him in double figures with 15 and 11 points. CU shot a blistering 54.2 percent from the floor in the loss while making 47.4 percent of threes in the game. WT would shoot 45.8 percent in the game and 36.1 percent from deep. The Black-and-Gold would outrebound the Buffs 37-36, but the difference in the game would be the turnover battle; Cameron had 24 to six from WT.

Last time out, Rowan Mackenzie turned in a game-high 24 points and 10 rebounds. They score 73.1 points per game, shooting 47.3 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from three. The Chaps allow opponents to score 66.2 ppg, making 46.0 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from beyond the arc. They are led by a trio of double-digit scorers, with Mackenzie leading the team with 19.4 ppg, Russell Harrison scoring 15.6 ppg, and Najeeb Muhammad averaging 10.4 ppg.
LAST TIME AGAINST LCU:
In the last meeting, DeSean Munson and Colt Savage led Cameron with double-digit scoring. Munson had a team-high 14, and Savage added 13, as Cameron dropped the game 85-61. The Aggies would go on a 12-2 run to cut the game to nine points, at 33-24 with just over six minutes until the break. Lubbock Christian would close out the first half with a 13-6 advantage to take a 46-30 lead. CU would shoot 40.7 percent from the floor, making 22-of-54 shots and 4-of-15 threes for 26.7 percent. LCU made 45.3 percent of shots from the floor and 35.6 percent from beyond the arc, sinking 16-of-45 three-pointers. The Chaps outrebounded Cameron 40-31, forcing 13 Aggies turnovers to 12 from LCU.
