LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron looks to finish the season on a high note as they make the trip to Texas A&M International and Texas A&M-Kingsville this weekend. The Aggies will face TAMUI on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 pm, before ending the road trip at Kingsville on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 3:00 pm.

LAST TIME AGAINST TAMUI:
The Aggie men erased a 13-point second-half lead to play spoilers on Thursday night, taking down Texas A&M International 75-65. The Dustdevils played the first half like a team fighting for a spot in the postseason. They shot 44.4 percent from the field but missed free throws (3-7) helped the Aggies keep it close, trailing just 31-27 at the halftime break. International opened the second half with three straight three-pointers to extend their lead to 13. After going back and forth, a pair of made buckets by Connor Slater tied the game at 49 with 8:30 on the clock. From there, freshman John Muhammad led a charge that saw the Aggies take the lead and go up by 13 after a fast break three by Colt Savage and a pair of Brock Schreiner free throws at the 3:57 mark. The Dustdevils tried to pressure the Aggies into turnovers and easy points, but Cameron handled it and made enough plays and shots down the stretch to secure the 10-point win.

LAST TIME AGAINST TAMUK:
Cameron could not slow down a red-hot Javelina team, losing 87-62. The only tie in the game was 2-2 as the Javelinas jumped out to a 24-8 advantage in the first 10 minutes of play. Cameron tried to make a run to end the half, but a Sammy Brooks three in the final seconds put the road team back up by 16 at the half. TAMUK continued to fire on all cylinders in the second half, shooting 60 percent from the field while going 5-10 from three to score 44 points. Cameron scored 35 points on the other end of the floor, with Colt Savage scoring 12 and Kenyon Holcombe adding 11 points. It was not enough as the Hogs built up their lead to 25, which was the final deficit.
WHO HAS NEXT:
Cameron ends the regular season at Midwestern State in the battle of the Red River, as they visit Wichita Falls on Thursday, Feb. 23, with a 7:30 pm start time.
