FORT SMITH, Ark. – Cameron opens Lone Star Conference play with a 7-0 win on the road at Arkansas-Fort Smith on Monday at the Fort Smith Athletic Club.

The Aggies won the point with a 2-1 advantage in the doubles, as Joao Duleba and Baptiste Mercier and Kristian Kubik and Emilio Seelbach both won their match won 6-1.

Tomas Almeida had a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles, Thomas Cardona took the No. 2 contest 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, and Mercier swept the match at three 6-4, 6-3. Kubik, Duleda, and Alvaro Chavez won at four, five, and six with wins during tiebreakers. Kubik won 4-6, 6-1, [10-3], Duleba was victorious 4-6, 6-1 [10-8], and Chavez won 2-6, 6-2, [10-4].

CU will take a 10-day break before traveling to Midland, Texas, to face UT Permian Basin on Thursday, March 23, at 2:00 pm.
