TYLER, Texas – Cameron placed seventh at the King-Alfred Invitational hosted by UT Tyler at the Cascades Country Club on Tuesday.
CU finished the tournament with a score of 316-317-308—941. The Aggies recorded 144 pars, led by Ellie Fellers with 34.
The team connected with 11 birdies Ashley Davis, Fellers, and Mollie Wheeler made three, while Maria Jose Savoca had two. Emma Englefield competing as an individual, had the most birdies for the Black-and-Gold with four.
Fellers led Cameron with a 75-79-76—230, finishing in 21st place, Wheeler tied for 29th place after shooting an 80-79-78—237, and Savoca climbed to 31st place after a final round score of 74 to go with her 85-80 on day one to end with a 239.
Davis scored 80-79-81—240, tying for 33rd place, and Maelle Dreyer placed 42nd after recording an 81-89-80—250.
The Aggies will compete in the RJGA Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Ariz., from March 31 to April 1.
