LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron dropped a hard-fought match 3-4 to No. 8 UT Tyler Monday at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex.
UT Tyler got the point from doubles, winning at No. 1 and No. 2, as the team of Kristian Kubik and Emilio Seelbach won at No. 3 7-6(7-2).
Tomas Almeida won at No. 1 as the Patriots player retired in the second set after Almeida built a 6-2, 1-0 lead. Baptiste Mercier claimed the No. 3 match 6-3, 6-4, and Kubik won at No. 4 6-1, 6-3. Thomas Cardona, Joao Duleba and Alvaro Chavez each pushed their matches to the third set before falling.
The Aggies will stay at home for the rest of the week, hosting Washburn on Thursday, April 6, at 2:00 pm, a match that was rescheduled from earlier in the season, before welcoming St. Mary's to Lawton on Saturday for a 10:00 am contest.
