Fort Smith, AR – Women's Basketball drops road game to Arkansas Fort Smith.
The Fort Smith Lions controlled this game from the opening tip-off. The Aggies tied up the game early in the first period, that would be the closest the Aggies came to taking the lead. During the second half the Lions increased their lead to 19. Cameron mounted a comeback in the fourth period and came within four points but there was not enough time left on the clock for the Aggies to gain the lead.
Shamica Smith led all scorers with 24 and pulled down eight rebounds. The Aggies shot 53% from the field and 83% from the free-throw line.
Cameron travels to Canyon, TX. for their next contest when they take on the West Texas A&M Buffaloes. The game starts at 5:30 on Thursday, Feb. 1.
