A tough night of shooting for the Aggies hurt their chances of a late game comeback.
Cameron shot just 23% in the first period and 22% in the third enroute to a 65-69 loss. The fourth period proved to be a bright spot on the night for the Aggies. The team shot an impressive 56% from the field as they stormed back from a 21 point deficit to come within four of the lead. The Aggies were also nearly perfect from the line. Cameron shot 15-16 (93%) from the charity stripe, 12 of which came in the second half.
Korie Allensworth led all scorers with 21. Allensworth also pulled down eight rebounds in the contest.
Katie King contributed 19 points and four assists.
With the loss, Cameron falls to 7-13 overall and 5-9 in the Lone Star Conference.
The Aggies travel to Lubbock on Saturday, Feb 3, to take on Lubbock Christian, games start at 1:00 p.m.
