Lawton, OK – Men's Basketball wins on last second shot.
The Aggies started off slowly on Saturday afternoon. The visiting Greyhounds jumped out to an early lead and led by as many as 12 early in the contest before CU started to heat up. Cameron stormed back to take a 13-point lead at the half.
Cameron would jump out to an 18-point lead in the second before the Greyhounds would start to chip away at that lead. With less than a minute to go the score was tied 80-80. The Aggies found themselves with possession of the ball as the clock wore down. Reggie Prudhomme drove the lane and put up a floating jumper that missed the mark, Andre Washington was there and made the tip in, giving the Aggies a two-point lead. With 3.9 seconds left on the clock, Miles Gurske would steal the inbounds pass, get fouled, and make both free-throws, securing the 84-80 victory.
Reggie Prudhomme led things for CU with 18 points, all from behind the three-point line. Jaylan Thomas added 17 points and 6 rebounds.
Cameron improves to 15-8 overall and 11-6 in the Lone Star Conference.
The Aggies hit next week when they take on Angelo State at 7:30 on Thursday, Feb. 15.
