LAREDO, Tex. — After a hard fought battle, Cameron University's men's basketball team pulled through and secured the win against Texas A&M-International University. The game started slow for Cameron as they struggled with their shooting in the first half. Despite this, they still managed to stay within a manageable distance from the Dustdevils. The Aggies eventually found their rhythm in the second half where they knocked down 6 - 10 shots from beyond the arc. Miles Gurske was a constant threat, he showcased his ability to score from multiple areas of the court, while Lavell Brodnex provided a valuable spark with his 13 points and 5 rebounds. Although there were a few lead changes and the game was tied five times, the Aggies ultimately stayed strong with a late-game execution and sealed the 74-65 victory. Cameron's ability to capitalize on their opponents mistakes, combined with their rebounding skills and improved second-half shooting, was the difference in this hard fought contest.
