RICHARDSON, Tex. - The Lone Star Conference announced its weekly list of accolades for the 2025 volleyball season, with the Aggies earning their first weekly honor.

Jennifer Valdez was named LSC Defensive Player of the Week following her performance during a 2-1 week for the Aggies.

The senior notched 18 blocks over the three matches, with 3 against East Central, 5 against Texas A&M International, and a career-high 10 against Texas A&M-Kingsville. Valdez also led the Aggies in kills against ECU and TAMUK, recording 18 and 14, respectively.

None of the three opponents the Aggies faced on the week recorded a hitting percentage greater than .225, with Cameron holding TAMUK to a .151 and TAMIU to just a .078.

Valdez's effort helped lead the Aggies to their first victory over TAMUK in ten years, and the Aggies' first time ever defeating both TAMIU and TAMUK in the same weekend.

The Aggies will be back in action this weekend as they head on the road to take on Western New Mexico on Oct. 23 at 7 PM and Sul Ross State on Oct. 25 at 12 PM.
