LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University Volleyball team closed out its weekend at Aggie Gymn Saturday afternoon, falling to Midwestern State University in three sets, 25-22, 25-17, 25-19. Cameron battled throughout a back-and-forth opening set that featured nine ties and four lead changes. The Aggies held a 17-15 advantage following a kill from Caitlyn Cornell, but Midwestern State responded to even the frame at 17-17. Cameron stayed within one at 23-22 before the Mustangs scored the final two points to take the opener, 25-22. The Aggies again battled in the second, using a kill and service ace from Anastasija Andelic to take a 13-12 lead. Midwestern State answered with a run and pulled away for a 25-17 victory. Cameron fell behind early in the third but put together a late four-point run to cut the deficit to 21-18 before the Mustangs closed out the match, 25-19.
