WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The Cameron University Volleyball team closed out its three-match road swing Tuesday evening against Southwestern Oklahoma State University inside the Pioneer Event Center. The Aggies battled throughout the night but fell to the Bulldogs in three sets, 25-13, 25-18, 25-17. Southwestern Oklahoma State jumped out to an early advantage in the opening set, building a 4-0 lead before Presleigh Roest put Cameron on the board with a kill. Anastasija Andelic followed with a service ace to cut the deficit to 4-2, but the Bulldogs answered with a run to regain control. Cameron later put together three consecutive points behind the serve of Mavery Salisbury, but SWOSU closed out the frame, 25-13. The Bulldogs carried their momentum into the second and built a 9-1 advantage. Cameron responded with several runs of its own, including back-to-back kills from Roest to trim the deficit to 14-9. Trailing 22-11 later in the frame, the Aggies put together their strongest stretch of the set, scoring six straight points behind the serve of Emily Jaramillo. Caitlyn Cornell added a kill during the run as Cameron pulled within 22-17 before SWOSU eventually secured the set, 25-18. Cameron faced another early deficit in the third but continued to battle. Cornell helped lead the Aggie attack with four kills in the frame, while Madison Waiki added three. Cameron cut the deficit to 14-8 during a three-point run and later scored three of four points to pull within 23-17. Southwestern Oklahoma State answered with the final two points to take the set, 25-17, and close out the match.

Key Performers
Caitlyn Cornell led the Cameron attack with seven kills on 10 attempts with just one error, posting a team-best .600 hitting percentage. She also added two digs and a block assist to finish with 7.5 points.
Presleigh Roest finished with seven kills while adding one solo block and one block assist for a team-high 8.5 points..
Mavery Salisbury directed the Aggie offense with a team-high 15 assists while adding five digs.
