LAWTON, Okla. - In their first home conference match of the season, the Cameron University volleyball team fell to the UT Permian Basin Falcons on Friday night, 3-0.
The Aggies (4-11, 0-3 LSC) are now 7-11 in their series against the Falcons.
Both squads traded opening runs in the first set before the Falcons grabbed a 15-10 lead off a 5-0 run to create a gap the Aggies could not close to take the first set, 17-25.
A similar story played in set two with the teams neck-and-neck at 10-10 before UTPB jumped to a 17-10 lead. The Aggies attempted to close the deficit in the closing stages of the set, but the late surge came up short, 19-25.
Set three saw the two teams battle deep into the set, tying at 15-15 before a final 8-0 run from the Falcons put the match to bed, 17-25.
