Wichita Falls, Texas- In a closely contested meet at the MSU Tennis Center on March 11, 2025, the Cameron Aggies men's tennis team faced a narrow defeat against Ouachita Baptist with a final score of 4-3. Despite strong individual performances, the Aggies fell short as Ouachita Baptist clinched the victory.
Cameron showcased exceptional talent in both singles and doubles play.
Pavel Kelo led the charge with a dominating 6-2, 6-0 win over Moritz Buss, while
Vicente Preto secured a 6-4, 6-2 victory against Tinus Mueller.
Raphael Valente also contributed notably with a thrilling 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (7-4) win against Yarin Aebi. The standout doubles team for Cameron,
Kristian Kubik and
Lachlan Setina, continued their winning streak for the fifth consecutive time, overwhelming Ouachita Baptist's Buss and Mueller 6-4.
Despite these strong performances, the opponent's resilience led to Cameron's overall defeat. Ouachita Baptist's Phil Exner and Ramon Strassmann, who hold national rankings at positions 2 and 75 respectively, were highlighted as significant contributors to their team's success.

We need to bounce back for tomorrow and be ready to be all in for the next match." Looking ahead, Cameron will regroup and seek redemption in their next encounter against Southwest Baptist at the Streich-Henry Family Tennis Complex on March 12, 2025 at 1pm. The Aggies' resolve will be tested as they strive to improve their current record of 3-4.
